Maveron Backs Home Hair Coloring Startup

In what is an unusual investment area for venture capital--although perhaps a less unlikely investment for consumer products focused Maveron--the Seattle investors is one of the firms investing in home hair care startup Madison Color today. Madison Color--based in San Francisco--announced a $4M, Series A funding this morning, led by True Ventures and also included Maveron. The firm said it is developing a "new, innovative" hair care product aimed at women and men who color their hair at home. The company said it plans to debut its product in the fall. More information »
