![]() Wednesday, June 25, 2008 Mentor Graphics Adds PCI Express VerificationWilsonville, Oregon-based Mentor Graphics, a developer of electronic design automation (EDA) software, announced a new software product for verifying PCI Express products today. According to Mentor Graphics, the new software enables designers to test PCI Express systems. PCI Express is a I/O specification being used in both PCs and servers for connecting peripheral cards to motherboards; those peripherals include graphic processing boards, Gigabit Ethernet controllers, RAID storage controllers, and other add-in cards. Verification is used by hardware designers to make sure designs for those cards and motherboards behave properly. posted on Wednesday, June 25, 2008
