Mentor Graphics Gets Win At AMCC

Wilsonville, Oregon-based Mentor Graphics has scored a win at Applied Micro Circuits Corporation, the firm said today. AMCC has consolidated the firm's functionality verification activities, part of the design flow of the firm's development work on PowerPC, optical, and storage products, on Mentor's Questa and Advanced Verification Methodology products. Mentor Graphics is a provider of electronic design automation (EDA) tools used by the semiconductor industry. Functional verification is part of the electronic design process, used by semiconductor designers to ensure that parts will work before they are fabricated.
