Mentor Graphics Invests $825,000 In PSU

Wilsonville, Oregon-based Mentor Graphics, the developer of computer aided design software, is investing $825,000 in Portland State University, to help students study integrated circuit design. According to Portland State University, the investment is in the university's Maseeh College of Engineering and Computer Science, at its new Mentor Graphics Design Verification and Emulation Lab. The school said the investment will help expand the program, to offer more state-of-the-art education and more opportunities in industry. The investment dollars come on top of about $1M in equipment given to the school by Mentor in 2009.
