Mentor Graphics Wins Mellanox

Wilsonville, Oregon-based electronic design automation (EDA) tools provider Mentor Graphics reported a win today with semiconductor developer Mellanox Technologies. Mentor Graphics said Mellanox is using its Tessent Hierarchical ATPG product to help generate test patterns for its integrated circuits. Financial impact of the win was not announced. Mentor's software automates the laborious process of figuring out testing of circuit designs and layouts, which is used during the fabrication of ICs to make sure everything works on an IC, and that there are no manufacturing flaws.
