Merix Acquisition Completes

The acquisition of Beaverton, Oregon-based Merix Corporation, a manufacturer of printed circuit boards, has completed, according to acquiring firm Viasystems Group. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. Merix and Viasystems said they would merge in October, with Merix shareholders owning approximately 12.5 percent of the new company. Both firms provide printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing services. Michael D. Burger, former President and CEO of Merix; Ms. Kirby A. Dyes, a former Director of Merix, and William C. McCormick, former Chairman at Merix, are all joining the board of Viasystems as part of the merger.
