Computing powerhouse Microsoft Corp. revealed Monday that it has signed a broad patent cross-licensing agreement with digital camera manufacturer Olympus Corp. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Microsoft explained that the agreement will help both companies develop their current and future product lines. In the past year, Microsoft has also inked licensing deals with Cadence Design Systems Inc., Fuji Xerox Co. Ltd., Kentwood Corp., LG Electronics, Nortel Networks, Novell Inc. and Samsung.
