    Microsoft Acquires Online Advertising Marketplace


    Microsoft said Thursday afternoon that it has acquired AdECN, an online advertising exchange marketplace based in Santa Barbara, California. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. AdECN provides a real-time auction technology used by ad networks to buy and sell advertising space. According to Microsoft, the acquisition is expected to complete in the first half of its 2008 fiscal year. AdECN employs 30, who will become part of Microsoft's Online Services Business.
