    Microsoft Buys Firm For Virtual Desktop Technology


    Computing giant Microsoft said Monday evening that it has acquired Calista Technologies, a San Jose-based provider of software for Windows Server Terminal Services. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The firm came as part of a push to accelerate adoption of virtualization technology from Microsoft. Calista develops software for providing server-hosted, virtualized desktop and applications.
