Microsoft Buys Havok Software From Intel

Microsoft has acquired gaming physics engine software developer Havok Software, from Intel Corp., Havok announced Friday. Financial details of the deal were not announced. Havok Software said it will continue to offer up its 3D physics engine to other, third party game developers. Microsoft uses Havok's 3D physics engine within its own lineup of games. Havok was based in Ireland.
