Microsoft Buys StorSimple
Microsoft announced today that it has acquired StorSimple, the developer of storage software which integrates with the cloud, migrating data between primary storage, local backup and archive, as well as cloud storage services. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. StorSimple's software works with Windows, and the companies have had close ties via Microsoft BizSpark. StorSimple was venture backed by Ignition Partners, Index Ventures, Mayfield, and Redpoint Ventures.
