Microsoft Buys Teamprise

Redmond-based Microsoft said this morning that it will purchase the assets of Teamprise, a developer of software which allows developers to use the Java Eclipse IDE to build applications with Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation across multiple operating systems. Financial impact of the acquisition were not disclosed. Microsoft said it is buying the Teamprise-related assets from SourceGear LLC. Microsoft said it will integrate the Teamprise Client Suite into its own, Visual Studio product line, starting in Visual Studio 2010.
