Microsoft Buys YaData
Computing giant Microsoft said today that it has acquired an Israeli startup, YaData Ltd., which provides online advertising targeting technology. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. According to Microsoft, YaData's technology will be used to provide its advertisers with richer targeting capabilities. YaData's team will join Microsoft's R&D center in Herzliya, Israel. YaData was founded in July of 2006 and was venture backed by Giza and Ofer Hi-Tech. Microsoft said that YaData will become part of its Advertiser and Publisher Solutions group.
