Microsoft Deal For Dell Nears, Says Report
A deal which will take computer maker Dell private, and make Microsoft and private equity firm Silver Lake Partners the majority holders in Dell, is nearing completion, according to reports last night from the WSJ. According to the WSJ, the parties are near a deal where Microsoft and Silver Lake will offer $13.50 and $13.75 per share for Dell. The deal had been expected to be announced Monday, but apparently the parties are still negotiating terms.
