Microsoft Funds Touch Input Firm

Microsoft is one of the investors in a Israeli firm developing capacitive sensing and pen input devices for the PC market, the firm, N-trig, said today. N-trig said it has raised $24M in a funding from Aurum Ventures, Challenger Ltd., Canaan Partners, Evergreen Venture Partners, and Microsoft. N-trig develops capacitive sensing devices used in touch sensitive screens--the ability to recognize multiple touch points on a screen, such as Apple's iPhone and Microsoft Surface. N-trig currently supplies Dell and HP with its hardware.
