Microsoft Ventures Banks Ranku For Online Degree Discovery

Microsoft Ventures said this week that it is backing the developer of an online, search and discovery site focused on online college degrees and education, Ranku. Financial terms of the investment were not announced. Ranku, which is based in New York, helps students find public, private, and state schools who offer online degrees--looking for reputable colleges and matching students and adults to the appropriate institutions. Ranku's founders are Kim Taylor and Cecilia Retelle.
