WatchGuard Acquired By Private Equity Firms
Seattle-based WatchGuard Technologies has been acquired by private equity firms Francisco Partners and Vector Capital, the firm said Wednesday. WatchGuard said that the firm is now owned in entirety by the two firms, after its shareholders approved the acquisition. The firm said that the acquisition provides it with the flexibility and financing required to succeed in the competitive network security market. The deal, which was originally announced in July, is worth $151M.
