Clustered storage specialist Isilon Systems announced Tuesday that Seismic Exchange Inc. has deployed Isilon's IQ storage system as its central repository for its library of proprietary 3-D seismic data. Isilon said SEI is using Isilon IQ to amalgamate more than 30,000 square miles of 3-D imaging data into a single, seamless pool of information. Financial terms of the win were not announced. According to Isilon, SEI converted to the firm's products from a previous SAN-based architecture. Isilon Systems is headquartered in Seattle. Founded in 1975, Seismic Exchange Inc. has offices in Dallas, Houston, Denver, New Orleans, Corpus Christi, Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
