uXcomm Becomes Virtugo, Raises $4M
Beaverton, Oregon-based uxComm announced today that it has changed its name to Virtugo Software, and raised $4M in new investment. The funding came from Foundation Capital and OVP Venture Partners. the firm said that it will focus on developing software products for managing server virtualization platforms. Ashmeet Sidana, a partner at Foundation Capital and former VMware executive, will join the firm's board as part of the funding. uxComm acquired Virtugo Software in April, and was previously focused on the embedded systems market.
