Clearwire Taps Google Apps
Kirkland-based wireless Internet provider Clearwire said today that it has teamed up with Google to offer Google Apps to its customers. According to Clearwire, it will begin migrating its customers to Gmail and Google Calendar beginning in the first half of the year, and that its customers will also have access to Google Talk, and Clearwire will use Google AdSense for Search for future portal applications. Financial details of the collaboration were not disclosed. Clearwire, which is headed by Craig McCaw, is developing a WiMax-based wireless Internet service.
