GalleryPlayer, a Seattle-based provider of high-definition imagery, revealed Monday that television manufacturer Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America Inc. will embed GalleryPlayer's proprietary technology into 2008 Mitsubishi HDTV models. The financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. The televisions, which will roll out later this spring, will allow consumers to view GalleryPlayer’s library of high-resolution, 1080p fine art and photographic images. GalleryPlayer said it will also work with Mitsubishi to create a co-branded Web site that will enable Mitsubishi HDTV owners to purchase and download images from content partners such as The Metropolitan Musuem of Art and National Geographic.
