Online travel agency Expedia Inc. revealed Monday that it has inked a multi-year contract with Air Berlin Group, Germany's second-largest airline and the European leisure market's third-largest carrier. As part of the deal, Expedia explained, it will list all of Air Berlin's fares, schedules and inventory on its Expedia- and hotels.com-branded properties. Expedia noted that its customers can now book flights on Air Berlin and its subsidiaries LTU, FlyNiki and Belair. The financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. Founded in 1978, Air Berlin operates 124 aircraft and employs more than 8,000 people. Expedia is headquartered in Bellevue, Wash.
