Seattle-based Jott Networks, which operates a service which allows people to call and leave messages and lists to themselves using their cell phone, said this week that it has come out of beta and will start charging users for the service. The firm said that it has rolled out three new levels of service, ranging from a basic service with Internet-only service (Jott Basic), a service with mobile support (Jott), and a professional service with longer recording times and Blackberry support (jott Pro). Jott has been available in beta for the last two years as a free service. According to the firm, the service costs money to run, so it has begun charging users for the service; the company will begin charging users on September 8th. Jott's basic service is free and includes ads; Jott will cost $3.95 a month; and Jott Pro will cost $12.95 a month.
