Seattle-based social publishing toolmaker Wetpaint said this morning that the firm's software, Wetpaint Injected, has been deployed on a number of web sites, including Flixster, NuWire Investor, Freewebs, IGN, Pathable, Mixxer, AvantBride, BabyBoom Review and CoolChaser, and others, and is now available for general use. Financial impact of the wins were not disclosed. According to the firm, those sites are using Wetpaint Injected, the firm's social publishing software which allows sites to add wiki features, discussion forums, photo galleries, and other social media features to sites. Wetpaint claims that its customers are seeing significant growth in search engine referrals due to use of its product, although it did not provide any examples. The firm is venture backed by Accel Partners, DAG Ventures, Frazier Technology Ventures, and Trinity Ventures.
