Concur Technologies Inc., a Redmond, Washington-based publisher of hosted spending management software, announced today that it has made a strategic investment in travel booking firm RideCharge Inc. The specific amount of Concur's investment was not disclosed. Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Alexandria, Va., RideCharge enables business travelers to book taxi, sedan and shuttle services online. According to Concur, it will integrate RideCharge with its Concur Travel and Expense applications, which give corporate travel managers greater control of ground transportation costs by providing electronic booking, payment and expense management. Concur said the integration will also reduce paper receipts and accidental or fraudulent over-reporting of travel expenses.
