Clearwire, which is developing a WiMax-based wireless service, said Tuesday afternoon that it has begun shipping a new accessory to help users create their own personal Wi-Fi hotspots. The new accessory allows existing, Wi-Fi enabled phones, cameras, laptops, and other devices to access Clearwire's broadband service. The firm said that the new device will be available for $139, and is manufactured by CradlePoint.
