Amazon EC2 Has Brief Outage
Amazon.com's cloud computing service, Amazon EC2, had an outage last night around 6:30pm, which took some of the firm's users offline until 11pm. According to Amazon, a "localized power issue" caused by a lightning storm pulled down a "very small percentage" of instances at the firm, affecting some number of servers in the United States.
