Amazon Rolls Out Mobile Shopping App For Android

announced today that it has released a mobile shopping application for Android phones, which allows customers to scan bar codes or take a photo to receive product information and ordering information. According to Amazon, its Amazon App for Android is available as a free download, and will allow users to track items they'd like to order from the online retailer. Amazon currently also offers similar applications for iPhone and BlackBerry, although those apps do not include bar code scanning support.
