Bellevue-based
InfoSpace said Tuesday that it has released a new meta-search engine on its flagship
InfoSpace.com site. The firm said that it will pull results from Google, Bing, Yahoo, and Ask as part of its search site, and also include real-time updates from Twitter in its search results. The relaunch of Infospace.com comes two years after Infospace turned the site into an online business directory, as part of a deal in September of 2007 with Idearc Media. At that time, the firm took $225M from Idearc, which was looking to bolster its organic web traffic, for use of its domain. InfoSpace said it re-acquired the domain in May.
