Amazon Launches Holiday Shopping Season
Seattle-based Amazon.com is kicking off its holiday shopping season today, saying that it has started a "Black Friday Week" deal promotion today. The firm emailed its customers with a number of promotions, and said it will be rolling out various promotional deals on items throughout the week. Amazon.com was among the biggest winners of the shopping season last year, despite an industry-wide stall in sales due to the economy last year; at the time, the firm reported it had its "best ever" holiday season.
