Clearwire said this morning that it is expanding into seven new markets, as part of a continued buildout of its network. According to Clearwire, it will open networks this year in Los Angeles, Miami, St. Louis, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Salt Lake City. The market expansion takes the firm into 27 markets across the US. The firm said the new coverage will take the firm's coverage up to 120 million people by the end of 2010. In related news, the firm said it will provide service for the upcoming Apple iPad on its network, using the firm's CLEAR spot Wi-Fi hotspot.
