F5 Wins Orbital Sciences
Seattle-based F5 Networks, a manufacturer of network traffic, load balancing, and other hardware, said today that it has added Orbital Sciences Corporation, a space technology developer, as a customer. According to F5, Orbital is using the firm's F5 ARX solution to manage its data storage costs. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. F5's product is being used by Orbital to virtualize its file storage environment, and specifically for migrating lesser used files to Tier 2 storage.
