Amazon Extends Publishing Efforts
Seattle-based
Amazon.com
said this week that it has added a new publishing imprint, which will focus on translating foreign language books into English. The firm said the program, AmazonCrossing, will make books available in print format on Amazon.com. The firm said the imprint will give its customers access to "terrific authors" they otherwise would not have the chance to know. The imprint is the second for Amazon, which also publishes under AmazonEncore, which the firm started in May of last year to highlight emerging authors without book contracts.
