InfoSpace Loses CEO
Bellevue-based InfoSpace said today that William J. Lansing, the firm's CEO, has left the company, and will be replaced by board member William (Bill) J. Ruckelshaus. According to InfoSpace, Lansing will be "pursuing other interests"; no other details on the departure were given. Ruckelshaus is currently a board member at Infospace, and was formerly Chief Financial Officer of AudienceScience. InfoSpace said that it has launched a national search for a permanent chief executive officer. Ruckelhaus has also previously headed corporate development at Expedia, in addition to serving as an investment banker at Credit Suisse First Boston, among other roles.
