Amazon Launches Android App Store

announced this morning that it has launched its
Amazon Appstore for Android
, its online store for Android apps. Amazon said it would allow users to buy Android applications both using a web browser, or from their Android phone or tablet using an Amazon application. As part of the launch, Amazon said it is offering up a free copy of Angry Birds Rio for Android for a limited time to customers. Amazon said it will be offering a paid app for free every day as part of the launch.
