Amazon Kindle Book Sales Pass Print Books
Seattle-based
Amazon.com
reported today that sales of Kindle books have now surpassed its sales of printed books, including both hardcover and softcover books. The firm said that since April 1st, for every 100 print books Amazon.com has sold, it has sold 105 Kindle books. The firm did not include free Kindle books in the count. The firm had reported back in July of 2010 that Kindle book sales already had passed its sales of hardcovers. Amazon also reported that it sold three times as many Kindle books in 2011 as it did for the same period in 2010.
