Amazon Debuts Ad-Supported Kindle 3G
Following up its release of its Kindle with Special Offers in April, Amazon.com said Tuesday afternoon that it has released another, ad-supported Kindle, the Kindle 3G with Special Offers. The new Kindle 3G costs $164, a discounts from Amazon's ad-free Kindle 3G, which costs $189.00. Amazon said the new Kindle 3G with Special Offers is shipping immediately. The Kindle 3G offers up 3G wireless access to load books and content onto the reader. Among the offers Amazon is dangling to buyers of the device is a $10 for a $20 Amazon.com gift card; the firm is also offering up discounts to products on its web sites, special book offers, and third party advertising.
