AppFog Appoints Bizdev VP
Portland-based AppFog, which provides a platform-as-a-service for the cloud computing market, announced this week that it has named John Higgins as its Vice President of Business Development. Higgins joins the firm from Salesforce.com, and also has served at Coupa Software, Helpstream, Sigma Dynamics and Siperian. AppFog provides PHP, Ruby, Node.js, and Java instances for developers, and is backed by Ignition Partners, Madrona Venture Group, First Round Capital, and the Founders Co-Op, along with angels. AppFog is led by Lucas Carlson.
