Vioguard Gets FDA Clearance
Seattle-based Vioguard, the developer of a self-sanitizing keyboard targeted at medical facilities, said this morning that its keyboard has been cleared by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration. Vioguard's keyboard uses UV light to automatically clean its surfaces. Vioguard's keyboard is targeted at use in hospitals and medical clinics, to help with sanitation efforts. Keyboards are one of the sources of transmission of viruses and bacteria, both in a medical setting as well as in homes and businesses. Vioguard is headed by Larry Ranta.
