Elemental Powers Stanford Athletics
Portland-based Elemental Technologies, the provider of video transcoding hardware, said today that it is powering a mobile, instant replay system for the Department of Athletics at Stanford University. Size of the win was not disclosed. Elemental said its system is being used to provide a Wi-Fi, instant replay system which allows fans to see game clips during games. The company said its Elemental Live product is supplying adaptive bit rate video to mobile devices, via the free Stanford GameDay Live website at at events at Stanford Stadium and Maples Pavilion.
