veteran Dennis Durkin, who was most recently Corporate Vice President, Chief Operating and Financial Officer for the company's Interactive Entertainment Business--in charge of the Xbox--has left for game maker

, Activision announced Monday afternoon. Durkin had been at Microsoft since 1999, and had worked as part of Microsoft's corporate development and strategy team. Activision Blizzard is a developer of computer games, and is based in Santa Monica, California.
