Medio, the developer of cloud-based, predictive analytics technology which is backed by Accel Partners, Trilogy Equity Partners, Frazier Technology Ventures and Mohr Davidow Ventures, said Thursday that it has launched a new product. The firm said it has launched the Medio inGenius Suite, a cloud-based big data analytics product which will help companies analyze customer usage patterns on mobile and other connected devices. The firm said its new solution is aimed at helping companies in advanced customer segmentation and analytics, via a cloud-based service. Medio is headed by Rob Lilleness, who was at Universal Electronics, and also served a stint heading up Microsoft's Windows Networking business. The firm's co-founder, Chairman and CTO is Brian Lent, who most recently headed up analytics firm Intelligent Results (acquired by First Data), and served at Amazon.com and Junglee--the company behind Amazon.com's product recommendation engine.
