AppFog Get Nod From Citrix
Portland-based AppFog, the developer of a cloud-based, platform-as-a-service (PaaS) which is headed by Lucas Carlson, reported this week that it has been verified as "Citrix Ready" by Citrix Systems. Citrix, a major provider of system virtualization and related software, runs its Citrix Ready program to recommend third party software that runs with its products. AppFog said the designation came through a rigorous verification process with Citrix CloudStack. AppFog's cloud-based, platform-as-a-service makes it easier for developers to deploy their application into the cloud. The company is venture backed by Ignition Partners, Madrona Venture Group, First Round Capital, Founder Co-Op, and others.
