Visible Technologies said Friday morning that it has agreed to acquire
Cymfony, a social media analytics software firm. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. According to the companies, Richard Pasewark, the former President of Cymfony, will become the head of Visible Technologies with the buy. Both firms provide social media monitoring, analytics, and related services, helping companies and brands to monitor their social media presence. Visible Technologies is venture backed by Centurion Holdings, Ignition Partners, In-Q-Tel, Investor Growth Capital, and WPP Group, plc. According to the firms, the acquisition gives WPP a 49 percent stake in the merged company.
