Amazon Launches CloudSearch Search Service
Seattle-based
Amazon Web Services
is launching a new web service today, aimed at helping websites and applications to provide their own, search functionality, Amazon said today. Amazon said its new
Amazon CloudSearch
service allows developers to easily upload data they want searchable, and automatically indexes and tunes a search for that data. Amazon's new service is aimed at replacing the expense and complexity of setting up an internal search and indexing infrastructure, and taps its A9 search technology to handle complex searches and datasets.
