Microsoft: Largest Cloud Customer Ever
Redmond-based Microsoft said today that it has signed its largest, cloud customer ever, in India. Microsoft said it has inked a deal with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), to deploy it Live@edu hosted communications and collaboration product to 7.5 million students and educators throughout India. Financial details of the win were not disclosed, however, Microsoft said it will provide access to email, Microsoft Office Web Apps, instant messaging, and service to the AICTE. The group represents more than 10,000 technical colleges and institutes throughout India.
