Beamit, which is developing an overseas payment and remittance service, has raised $2.4M. The funding came from the Founder Co-Op, TomorrowVentures, and Bezos Expeditions. BeamIt was founded by Matt Oppenheimer, and is looking to make it easier, and more affordable, for people to send money to their families overseas. The firm was part of TechStars Seattle last year.
