Target Confirms It Has Dropped Kindle Readers
Retailer Target Corp. confirmed Wednesday afternoon that it will stop selling Amazon.com's Kindle e-reader and other products from Amazon, following reports earlier in the day that Target had decided to discontinue carrying the devices due to a "conflict of interest." Target said in a statement that it "continually evaluates its product assortment" and would phase out Amazon- and Kindle products by the end of spring, and will no longer replenish the Kindle after May 13th. No other details of the move have been announced.
