DreamBox Learning, the educational software firm backed by Reed Hastings, John Doerr, Deborah Quazzo, and GSV Capital Corp, has scored a win in Silicon Valley, with the San Jose School District, the firm said this week. DreamBox said the district is implementing its DreamBox Learning Math program district-wide at 26 elementary schools, beginning next year. Size of the deal was not announced. DreamBox said it was selected from a number of competitors following a 90-day pilot. DreamBox raised a Series A back in December of 2011; Hastings is the founder of Netflix, and Doerr is a venture capitalist at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.
