Opscode Jumps Into Zumba Fitness
What do fitness classes have to do with cloud computing? Apparently, lots. Seattle-based cloud automation software developer Opscode said that Zumba Fitness, the dance-fitness program, is using its Opscode Hosted Chef product to automate its cloud infrastructure running on Amazon EC2 and Rackspace. Financial details of the win were not disclosed. Zumba Fitness apparently runs its class schedules, its online store, and video archives through the cloud. Opscode's software helps the fitness operator manage development environments, application deployment, configuration management, and more.
